1. About Jake's List

Jake's List is a business intelligence and professional information platform designed primarily to help contractors, service professionals, and other authorized businesses obtain information relevant to prospective and existing customer relationships.

Jake's List may combine contractor-submitted experiences, publicly available information, government records, property information, lawful third-party data, and automated or AI-assisted analysis into searches, reports, summaries, profiles, alerts, or other platform features.

Jake's List may make these services available through its websites, mobile applications, APIs, integrations, communications, and other products or services we operate.

Jake's List may also provide professional networking, contractor verification, referrals, association features, business resources, and other tools for members of the trades and service industries.

Jake's List does not provide legal, financial, credit, insurance, employment, housing, tenant-screening, or other professional advice.

2. Eligibility and Business Use

Jake's List is intended primarily for legitimate business and professional use. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create an account.

If you create or use an account on behalf of a company, organization, or other business, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to act on its behalf and bind it to these Terms.

Jake's List may restrict certain searches, reports, reviews, intelligence, or professional-network features to verified or otherwise eligible business users.

3. Account Registration and Security

You agree to provide accurate and current account information and to update that information when reasonably necessary.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials and authentication methods and for activity occurring through your account.

You must promptly notify Jake's List if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization.

4. Business Verification

Jake's List may require information reasonably necessary to verify a business, authorized user, trade, professional credential, license, association membership, or other account attribute.

Verification may rely on information supplied by the user, government records, business records, third-party verification services, trade associations, or other lawful sources.

A verification badge or similar designation means only that Jake's List completed the applicable verification process. It is not an endorsement, guarantee of quality, or certification of a contractor's performance.

5. One Primary Account Per Business

Each business may maintain one primary Jake's List membership account unless additional locations, employees, team members, or accounts are authorized by Jake's List or included in an applicable plan.

You may not create duplicate or deceptive accounts to evade restrictions, manipulate reviews or reputation information, obtain additional free usage, impersonate another business, or interfere with platform integrity.

6. Contractor Experiences and Reviews

Contractor experiences and reviews must be submitted in good faith and based on the submitting business's direct and firsthand experience with the identified customer or prospective customer.

Legitimate experiences may involve completed work, active projects, estimates, bidding, communications, payment activity, contractual issues, change orders, project conditions, or other genuine business interactions.

Reviews may not be based solely on rumors, assumptions, secondhand statements, unrelated personal disputes, or information the submitting business did not directly experience.

7. Truthfulness and Accuracy

You may not knowingly submit false, materially misleading, fabricated, deceptive, or fraudulent information.

Opinions should reflect your genuine professional experience. Statements presented as facts should be based on information you reasonably believe to be accurate.

Jake's List may request supporting information when reviewing a disputed or potentially problematic submission. Supporting information may include contracts, invoices, estimates, payment records, photographs, written communications, or other relevant business records.

Failure to provide reasonably requested supporting information may affect whether content remains available on the platform.

8. AI-Assisted Review Creation

Jake's List may offer tools that use artificial intelligence or automated processing to transcribe, organize, summarize, classify, or structure information provided by a contractor.

AI assistance does not transfer responsibility for a submission to Jake's List. Before submitting an AI-assisted experience, the submitting user remains responsible for reviewing the content and confirming that it accurately reflects the business's firsthand experience.

Jake's List may modify formatting, remove prohibited information, or generate summaries while attempting to preserve the substance of the submitted experience.

9. Appropriate Content and Customer Privacy

Reviews, responses, profiles, messages, documents, photographs, and other submissions must be professional, relevant, and reasonably related to legitimate business use.

You may not submit content that is unlawfully threatening, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, intentionally deceptive, unlawfully invasive, or otherwise unlawful.

Users may not publish Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, complete financial-account information, payment-card information, passwords, medical information, private authentication information, or other unnecessary sensitive information about a customer.

Customer information included in a contractor experience should be limited to information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant customer or describe the legitimate business interaction.

If you upload photographs, documents, videos, audio, or other files, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide them and that they do not contain unnecessary sensitive, confidential, private, or unlawfully obtained information.

Uploaded files may contain metadata, including dates, device information, file properties, or geographic information. You should remove metadata you do not intend to provide before uploading content to Jake's List.

10. Customer Identification and Identity Resolution

Jake's List may use names, addresses, property information, geographic information, government records, third-party data, and other available identifiers to determine whether records appear to relate to the same consumer, customer, business, or property.

Identity resolution is inherently imperfect. Different individuals may share similar names, addresses may change, and source information may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or incorrectly associated.

Users must consider available identifiers, source information, dates, locations, and confidence indicators before relying on a potential match.

You may not knowingly submit a contractor experience against a person or property you know is not the correct subject.

11. Public Records, Property Data, and Third-Party Information

Jake's List may collect, organize, index, link to, summarize, analyze, and display information obtained from publicly available government records, government websites, property records, permitting systems, court records, geographic or environmental sources, and lawful third-party providers.

Availability, accuracy, completeness, and update schedules vary by jurisdiction and source. Jake's List does not control government agencies or independent third-party data providers.

The absence of a record does not establish that an event did or did not occur. Likewise, the presence of a possible record does not establish that the record relates to the person being searched unless the identity match is sufficiently established.

12. Source Attribution

Jake's List may identify or link to the government agency, public database, third-party provider, contractor submission, or other source associated with information displayed on the platform.

Source attribution is intended to help users understand where information originated and distinguish source information from Jake's List-generated summaries or analysis.

When information is important to a business decision, users should review the underlying source where reasonably available.

13. AI Summaries, Scores, and Automated Analysis

Jake's List may use artificial intelligence, algorithms, machine learning, or other automated systems to organize information, identify patterns, generate summaries, estimate confidence, calculate scores, or provide other forms of informational analysis.

Automated systems can make mistakes. AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, incorrect associations, or interpretations that differ from those of a human reviewer.

AI-generated summaries, scores, confidence indicators, recommendations, and other analyses are informational tools and are not guarantees, factual determinations, professional advice, or predictions of future behavior.

Users remain responsible for independently evaluating material information and making their own business decisions.

14. Customer Responses, Corrections, and Disputes

Jake's List may permit consumers or other affected persons to request review of information they believe is inaccurate, incorrectly associated, outdated, unlawfully displayed, or otherwise requires correction.

Jake's List may request reasonable identity verification and information necessary to investigate a request.

Depending on the circumstances, Jake's List may correct information, separate an incorrect identity match, update source information, add context, request supporting documentation, restrict visibility, remove content, or direct a requester to the originating source.

Consumers may be permitted to respond to contractor experiences or provide additional context. Businesses may be permitted to respond to those statements.

Jake's List is not required to remove truthful or lawful information solely because it is unfavorable or disputed.

15. Professional Profiles and Contractor Network

Jake's List may provide contractor or business profiles, professional connections, trusted-contractor relationships, referrals, groups, association communities, contribution statistics, professional reputation indicators, or other network features.

Network relationships, follows, connections, endorsements, referrals, contribution statistics, or similar indicators do not constitute a guarantee or endorsement by Jake's List.

Users remain responsible for independently evaluating any contractor, business, referral, or professional relationship.

16. Association Membership and Affiliation

Jake's List may work with trade associations, professional organizations, franchises, buying groups, or other industry organizations to provide memberships, verification, communities, or other benefits.

An association badge or affiliation may indicate that membership or another relationship was verified at a particular time. It does not constitute an endorsement by Jake's List or by the applicable association unless expressly stated.

Association membership and verification may change or expire.

17. Referrals and Third-Party Business Relationships

Jake's List may enable contractor-to-contractor referrals, introductions, business resources, sponsored services, or relationships with independent third-party providers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party contractors, service providers, sponsors, advertisers, and referral partners are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Jake's List.

Jake's List does not guarantee the performance, quality, licensing, pricing, availability, or conduct of an independent third party.

18. Prohibited Uses and Regulated Decisions

Jake's List is not intended to be used to determine a person's eligibility for employment, housing, consumer credit, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar consumer-reporting laws.

You may not use Jake's List in violation of applicable consumer-reporting, credit, employment, housing, insurance, privacy, anti-discrimination, consumer-protection, or other laws.

You may not use information from Jake's List to unlawfully discriminate against, harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or cause unlawful harm to another person.

Jake's List information should not be used as the sole basis for accepting or rejecting work, setting contractual terms, determining pricing, or making another material business decision. Users are responsible for considering the totality of relevant information and exercising independent judgment.

19. Additional Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, fabricated, or fraudulent experiences.
• Impersonate another person, contractor, or business.
• Manipulate ratings, reviews, network relationships, search results, reputation indicators, or platform metrics.
• Submit content in exchange for improper payment, favors, retaliation, coercion, or other improper incentives.
• Use Jake's List to harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate another person.
• Attempt to obtain information for an unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
• Share account credentials with unauthorized persons.
• Circumvent subscription, search, account, security, or access restrictions.
• Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technology.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Jake's List or another user's account or data.
• Interfere with the availability, security, or integrity of the platform.
• Upload files containing malware, malicious code, intentionally harmful content, or technology designed to compromise another user, device, account, or system.
• Use the platform to collect, expose, or distribute personal information for harassment, stalking, intimidation, identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to defeat or interfere with spam prevention, fraud detection, content moderation, rate limits, authentication, security controls, or other platform safeguards.

20. Scraping, Automated Access, and Data Resale

Except through an authorized API, integration, or written agreement, you may not use bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, automated agents, scripts, browser automation, or similar technologies to access, search, copy, monitor, extract, download, index, or collect information from Jake's List.

You may not systematically reproduce, aggregate, compile, republish, license, sell, resell, rent, distribute, or create a competing database from Jake's List information without written authorization.

Jake's List may use technical and legal measures to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to unauthorized automated access or data extraction.

21. Ownership of Submitted Content

Subject to the rights of others and applicable law, you retain ownership of original content you submit to Jake's List.

By submitting content, you grant Jake's List a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, moderate, analyze, summarize, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, protect, and promote Jake's List and its services.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to submit the content and grant this license.

22. Jake's List Intellectual Property

Jake's List's software, branding, designs, databases, compilations, report formats, scoring methodologies, algorithms, analytics, documentation, interfaces, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Jake's List and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of Jake's List's intellectual property or any right to reproduce or commercially exploit it except as expressly authorized.

23. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content available through Jake's List infringes a copyright you own or control, you may contact us with sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and the basis for your request.

Jake's List may request additional information necessary to evaluate or process a copyright complaint.

24. Content Moderation

Jake's List may use automated systems, artificial intelligence, spam and abuse detection technologies, and human review to help identify potentially fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, prohibited, or otherwise problematic activity or content.

Jake's List may review, reject, edit, format, restrict, annotate, investigate, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates legal or security concerns, appears fraudulent, is associated with the wrong person or property, or may expose users or the platform to harm.

Jake's List is not obligated to monitor every submission and does not guarantee that objectionable or inaccurate content will always be identified immediately.

25. Account Suspension and Termination

Jake's List may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account has violated these Terms, misused platform information, created risk for users or Jake's List, failed to pay applicable charges, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise used the platform unlawfully.

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent termination.

Termination of an account does not necessarily require removal of lawful contractor experiences, public records, moderation records, security records, or other information that Jake's List may lawfully retain under our Privacy Policy.

26. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewals

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Applicable pricing, included features, billing frequency, renewal terms, promotional periods, and cancellation options will be presented when you purchase a plan.

If a subscription automatically renews, you authorize the applicable payment method to be charged according to the terms disclosed at purchase unless you cancel before renewal.

Taxes and other legally required charges may be added where applicable.

27. Founder, Trial, Promotional, and Association Access

Jake's List may provide free, discounted, trial, founder, promotional, association-sponsored, or other special access.

Eligibility, duration, features, contribution requirements, renewal terms, and other conditions may vary by program and will be communicated when applicable.

Jake's List may modify or discontinue promotional programs prospectively, subject to applicable law and any specific commitments made to participating users.

28. Platform Availability and Changes

Jake's List may add, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features, data sources, integrations, reports, subscriptions, or other portions of the platform.

Government systems, third-party providers, AI services, hosting services, integrations, and other dependencies may become temporarily or permanently unavailable without notice.

Jake's List does not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous availability of any particular source, or that every feature will always operate without error.

29. Third-Party Websites and Services

Jake's List may contain links to or integrate with government websites, public-record systems, maps, payment processors, data providers, business resources, software platforms, or other third-party services.

Jake's List does not control independent third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, privacy practices, or performance.

Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

30. Disclaimer of Warranties

Jake's List is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jake's List disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, security, and error-free operation.

Jake's List does not warrant that information from a contractor, government agency, third-party provider, automated system, or other source is complete, current, or error-free.

Users remain responsible for their own contracts, pricing, payment terms, customer relationships, referrals, business decisions, and independent verification of material information.

31. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jake's List and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, data providers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to Jake's List.

This includes damages arising from reliance on contractor experiences, public records, property information, identity matches, third-party information, AI-generated content, scores, referrals, unavailable information, service interruption, unauthorized access, or business decisions made using the platform.

Certain jurisdictions do not permit some limitations or exclusions of liability. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

32. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jake's List and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your account, submitted content, violation of these Terms, infringement or violation of another party's rights, unlawful use of Jake's List, or misuse of platform information.

33. Privacy

Your use of Jake's List is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how information may be collected, used, processed, retained, and shared.

34. Changes to These Terms

Jake's List may update these Terms as the platform, applicable laws, technologies, and business practices evolve.

Updated Terms will become effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated or applicable law requires additional notice or consent.

Continued use of Jake's List after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

35. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or Jake's List must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Ohio.

36. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

37. No Waiver

Jake's List's failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.

38. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Jake's List's prior written consent.

Jake's List may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

39. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly applicable to a particular subscription, program, integration, or feature, constitute the agreement between you and Jake's List concerning your use of the platform.
